The Children’s Center of the Stanford Community (CCSC)—one of the largest parent cooperatives in the state of California—is licensed to serve more than 200 families of Stanford University faculty, staff, and students. CCSC offers part- and full-time early childhood learning programs for children from eight weeks to five years old.
Accredited by the NAEYC, the play-based educational philosophy of the Center is grounded in the belief that children are competent, curious, and resourceful learners. Founded by Stanford graduate students in 1969, CCSC is the only nonprofit, cooperative childcare center on the Stanford University campus.

Growing together: Welcoming children from 8 weeks to 5 years, through their infant, toddler, and preschool/pre-K years.

A place for parents, too: Our optional co-op invites you into the classroom for two hours each week, building connections while receiving reduced tuition.

What is co-op?
Co-op means parents and teachers working together to care for children. At CCSC, families can choose to spend two hours each week in their child’s classroom in exchange for reduced tuition.
What would I do?
Read stories, join children’s play, help with snacks, and lend a hand with classroom routines and cleanup. You’ll support the whole group with guidance from teachers. No teaching experience needed!

How do I begin?
We’ll help you find an available shift and complete orientation, required training, background clearance, and health documentation. Morning and afternoon shifts are available.
Co-op is optional—families may also choose non-co-op tuition.
