CCSC Appreciates Your Support
CCSC is a unique and special place for our children to explore, learn, and flourish. It offers a dynamic curriculum, many wonderful outdoor spaces that foster exploration and discovery, and a supportive setting where parents can work alongside our exceptionally qualified and dedicated teaching teams.
CCSC ANNUAL FUND DRIVE 2020
Dear CCSC Community,
Good afternoon from the educators and parents on the CCSC board! We all are grateful that CCSC has reopened and many of our children are again able to enjoy the unique opportunities and community that CCSC offers.
As you know, we receive generous support from Stanford University. This is especially true this year, since limited enrollment has led to a need for additional support. However, the university doesn’t cover all of our costs. We expect to spend over $100,000 extra this year from our donations and reserves – and, as a result, we rely on donations to pay for critical aspects of our operations.
As we continue to live through the pandemic, CCSC implements guidelines and mandates from state agencies as a baseline, but we also go above and beyond these directives for the children’s and staff’s health and safety. This year's annual fund is critical to CCSC's ability to add additional layers of protection and precautions such as air purifiers and high quality KN95 masks that help minimize risk during cold and flu season. Stanford does not reimburse us for these expenses; they are supported by community donations.
CCSC’s teachers are our most precious resource. This summer we adjusted the salaries of several of our beloved teachers to achieve pay equity within our center. As a board, and as a community we deem equity and fairness a core aspect of CCSC’s team teaching approach. However, Stanford does not cover these costs so CCSC must rely on past and future donations to fund these pay equity adjustments.
One easy way to give back to the center is to donate the space deposit that you gave to CCSC when your child enrolled. If you choose to donate your deposit, you will not receive the deposit back when your child exits the center. If you would like to donate your space deposit, please email Hope Flamenco at email@example.com.
If a donation to CCSC is within your means, we’d also like to take this opportunity and remind you that some employers (not Stanford University) offer matching gift programs. As a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, CCSC generally qualifies for these programs. CCSC’s EIN is 94-1704824. You may also donate to CCSC’s PayPal Account through this link or send a check to CCSC at 140 Comstock Circle, Stanford CA 94305. You may be wondering how much to donate. Truly, every little bit helps and we welcome any gift you can offer! To give you an idea of the costs, CCSC expects to spend about $1,000 per family this year that is not covered by Stanford - giving even a small part of this amount helps. For example, if we raise at least $50 per child today, that would cover our emergency preparedness upgrade costs from 2020.
Finally, with the holiday season upon us and online shopping likely playing a bigger role than in other years, we’d greatly appreciate it if you took advantage of Amazon’s smile program. When you log into smile.amazon.com and choose CCSC as your charity, Amazon will donate a small percentage of your purchase price to CCSC. Unfortunately, Amazon smile does not work through the Amazon app. Please consider bookmarking the site and use it each time you shop at Amazon.
Thank you for supporting our center and for making CCSC the community that it is.
We wish you all a happy holiday season. Stay safe!

Like many schools, CCSC operates on a very modest budget. Tuition dollars, which we know are a substantial investment, cover only the center’s basic operating expenses. CCSC has needs crucial to its ongoing success that we are unable to fulfill within our modest budget. These needs include:
Teacher professional development; such as tuition assistance for early childhood education classes, fees for conferences, registration for educational opportunities and training. Professional development opportunities inspire our teachers, facilitate teacher dedication, and promotes the teacher retention that CCSC prides itself on.
Special classroom materials, equipment and activities for projects and unique learning opportunities
Capital improvements and maintenance of the center’s facilities and outside play spaces
Please make a tax-deductible contribution today to support teacher professional development and enhance CCSC’s offerings. Your donation is an important investment in our school, and we greatly appreciate your support.
Examples of what your tax-deductible contribution supports:
$40 = one RAFT Membership (Resource Area for Teachers) for workshops and materials
$70 = one NAEYC teacher membership
$125 = one set of magnablocks for a classroom
$250 = a new tricycle for the older children or a stroller for our infants
$400 = a visit to CCSC from the petting zoo or a speaker at the teacher in-service event
$800 = the tuition for one teacher to attend the Bing Institute; promoting reflective teaching practices
$1,000 = the conference fee and travel expenses for one teacher to attend an out-of-area conference
